We decided to start Startup Kitchen about a year ago while playing Basketball. We noticed that local media was not covering all the exciting new startups that were sprouting up all around us, so we decided that we would try covering it ourselves. We felt that we should showcase the innovation and the risk that people were taking right here in Atlantic Canada. This was the stuff that we were interested in reading, watching and hearing about.

Since that day on the basketball courts, we have released about 25 episodes that cover startups and organizations that support new businesses. We have covered startups from New Brunswick to Newfoundland and more. We were also able to get these inspiring individuals in the same room for our signature Kitchen Parties, which we know has helped make some great connections among founders, potential employees, investors and more.

We are now thrilled to say that Startup Kitchen is going to the next level and has been chosen as one of the new shows on Bell Aliant Community One TV. Our first show will air on October 15th 29th on channel 1 on Bell Aliant TV and on FibeOP TV. It will also be available online onhttp://www.bellaliant.net/communityone/. The blog and podcast will continue on with some minor changes. With this show, we will be able to reach a wider audience and we will be able continue being the "voice of entrepreneurship" of Atlantic Canada. Rodney Mann of iniT Productions and Andrew Kelly of Sameasforever Studios will be assisting us in taking our video quality to the levels for tv production. We are taking everything that we learned the last year and putting that in the television show. So, we will have our interview portion, demos, lawyer minutes and a few special segments every episode. Your feedback is always important to us, so please let us know over twitter or email if you have any suggestions or critiques.

At this time, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for the continued support and encouragement. We are very excited to continue covering entrepreneurship across Atlantic Canada. As we like to say, "we got off the couch and tried something", we hope you do too! You never know where it will take you.
